Regional Specialities
There are several self-serve huts where you can purchase fresh local produce. Payment is based on honesty system, so bring coins and small notes along for payment.
Bio Ladl Stubai - Organic veggies and eggs
The „Bio Ladl Stubai“ is on the parallel street to the main road heading out of the valley.
You find the Bio Ladl along the little road next to the country road leading towards the valley entrance. short before you get to the Greek Restaurant.
Sauguats Gmias
The „sauguats Gmias“ Shop sells regional vegetables, juice, jam, dumplings and on certain days bread.
Walk passed the Wiesenhof hotel along the long g meadow, shortly after you find a small passage between two farmhouses which leads you to a road which goes a bit downhill. Once it splits you turn
left and soon you see the wooden hut after the turn on the right hand side.
Eier Ladele
You find a vending machine with free range eggs along the Dorfstrasse past the butcher, called “Eier Ladele” at the “Milcherhof” where you can buy eggs from the chickens near the lift station from a vending machine.
Tiroler Speck
Yummy Speck you find at the farmhouse Breitenhof in der Riedgasse 14, you walk towards the Greek Restaurant and tunr right just before you reach the restauratn. Slightly uphill and then you find it on your right hand side.

Organic Farmer in Telfes
At the Messner Hof in Telfes you can find wonderful local fruit and vegetables. They also offer a big variety of organic cheeses and in summer fresh butter from
the Schlickeralm. On Friday and Saturday they also sell yummy home-made breads.
Summer: Tuesday and Friday from 5pm until 7pm
Saturday from 9am until 12pm
Winter: Friday from 4pm until 6pm
Saturday from 9am until 12pm
How to get there:
Drive towards Fulpmes and turn off the main road up to Telfes. Once you get to Telfes you turn right, there is signage to “Greifvogelpark” (which is also worthwhile a visit) as well as “Spar”.
This turn off is before you cross the tram tracks. Then you follow this narrow street, pass the church and when the street points uphill just before it turns right again you turn left onto the
property of the Organic Farmer and park the car there. The farm is right above the church and has an amazing view of the valley.
The church in Telfes is worthwhile a visit as well.

Grocery Stores in Mieders
At the fountain in Mieders you find a small Spar Supermarket, which opens from 7:30 until 12:00 and from 15:00 until 18:30, on Saturday from 7:30 until 12:00.
The local butcher Metzgerei Zorn does not only have special products but also special opening times: Friday from 15:00 until 18:00.
They sell fresh meat, home-made sausages, cold cuts, Beef Tartare, Vitello Tonnato, Pates, home-made meals like Gulash, Chili con Carne or Sauce Bolognaise as well as local cheese, fresh bread
and more specialities. A true deli!
Im 24 h Automat am Parkplatz der Metzgerei Zorn gibt es die unterschiedlichsten Leckereien.
Along the main road towards Fulpmes is a Mini M-Preis together with the gas station, a small supermarket that is also open in the evenings and on weekends.
Grocery Stores nearby
The Hofer (Austrian Aldi) in Schönberg, right along the main street, opens weekdays from 7:40 to 19:30 and Saturdays until 18:00.
You also find a BIPA drug store, the opening times are weekdays from 8:30 until 19:00 and Saturdays from 8:00 until 18:00.
In Fulpmes you find a M-Preis and BIPA at the village entrance.
In Neustift gibt es einen M-Preis, Billa und Spar.
